I Can Do This And I Will Do This!!!

    Hi Everyone,

    I needed to join and just put it out there and hopefully that wil mean I will stick to my goals. I am so inspired by all these positive stories so Im looking forward to getting around the forum and learning all I can not to mention supporting others in there journey too.. and maybe if i keep a daily diary I might I mean I will loose weight!!

    You see ive been doing IVF my fertility doctor says my weight doesn't matter but I believe I will hold my baby in my arms if i can loose weight so I have 2 months to loose the maximum weight I can.... I eat well but tend to snack I have been diagnosed with NKC and that means ive been on steroids which also increased my weight but lets face it ive been eating things I shouldnt....so after a year of medications ive decided enough is enough I get mad at myself that even a baby cant inspire me to shed kilos? Its heart breaking.... well no more!! today is a new start and maybe yours too?

    So as of today I am committed to doing the right thing I already eat healthy (well im not perfect but in general our main meals are healthy its my snacking and the cravings that are bad) and to be honest exercise is not something I do enough of. I was on duromine years ago so I am hoping to see some great results and change some habits so at least I wont go into a pregnancy being too much overweight

    I plan on updating daily to motivate myself and maybe someone else who is reading and think they cant do it because we can do it we just need to change our mind frame and work at it.... I am hoping to shed at least 10kg in 2 months hopefully more.... I know shedding too much weight fast isn't healthy but time isn't on my side and i only have 2 months to do this so I hope my metabolism speeds up and my hunger for snacks and sweets vanishes... Id love to share my story and im sure you would understand better, but gosh i write too much as it is :)

    so onto my weight loss journey:-

    Im 5 11'' and weigh 105.5kg
    Goals
    * to loose a minimum of 10KG in 2 months more would be better lets face it I would be over the moon if i could loose more
    * use my pilates machine regularly (week 2)
    * walk daily (start week 1)
    * stop snacking so much or even stop it all together
    * stop eating so many sweets (Im realistic I will never stop but if i can cut it right down... perfect)
    * tone my body

    Day 1
    9th January
    I took my 30mg tablet at 5am and had a boiled egg for breakfast which is what I normally have... I didn't feel anything different till around 8.30 9ish it was that jittery sensation ( I remember it from years ago)... but it dissipated after snacking woo hoo! duromine is working later in the day I can feel that inner energy starting to creep in YAY!!
    I had some dried fruit and nuts for a snack at 9am and a cup of pretend coffee (no caffeine)
    I read its best not to think about eating etc so I am keeping myself busy
    Lunchtime I had a diet shake I had boiled a second egg this morning but will save that for breakfast tomorrow
    I did 20 minutes of dancing (something I love and haven't done for years .... whats that saying dance like noone is watching and they weren't so I went for it not sure what my neighbor thinks of me playing dance music LOL plus its a good way for me to get my body moving and hopefully prepare it for some serious exercising later this week or next... hopefully I will go for a walk later today after dinner
    I have had 3 sugar free lollies so far (my back up for when the sweet craving hits)
    so far I feel good but its day one.... Plan on cooking a quiche for dinner
    Thats it for day 1..... I hope I dont have to come back tomorrow and confess to nibbling on something naughty but if i do so be it.... I wont be making it a habit if I do

    Hi Everyone
    I am pleased to say I didn't snack on anything naughty last night YAY for me I also didn't go for my walk... naughty me but I made up for it and did another 30 minutes of dancing
    for dinner last night I cooked a frittata from what I read i expected to get half way thru and say I cant eat anymore.... nope :-( I ate the whole half (made a saucepan size) my partner was full LOL go figure still im not here to starve myself it was just an expectation that i would get full quicker but if i think about it i would have normally had a snack or something after dinner ... all i had was another small handful of trail mix... That was all I had so Im ver proud of myself

    Day 2 10th January

    I slept well... um well as normal as a sleep for me is I just did a transfer (IVF) that was unsuccessful and because I have NKC they put me on steroids as part of the protocol... so I am use to waking at 5 am for medication... steroids also causes sleeplessness... when i did wake up I was able to go back to sleep so that was good I hope that stays the same...

    Id like to say D has taken my hunger away fully but not yet.... I had a boiled egg with my D this morning and by 8.30 I was hungry... so I made a half milk half water / imitation coffee drink that took my hunger away at 12.40 I made a huge shake choc and a spoonful of strawberry I then had 2 small slices of watermelon at 2ish? I go to have a snack and then my voice kicks in do you really want it? surely you can assist D by doing the right thing.... time is ticking.....if I cant do it now I will never do it and besides that will be a day gone what I have noticed is I am very light headed as in if i move too fast (when dancing) I get giddy....

    For dinner I am having a slice of salmon a broccoli slice and salad I am so looking forward to it... Oh and when I feel like a snack or get hungry I have a drink of water.... I dont think I have had as much water as yesterday I know I am sweating heaps but then again its warm but it is dripping off me during dancing (yay! burn baby burn) ... and when I did the gardening I had to come inside and wipe my face down as it was going in my eyes I dont feel an energetic as yesterday but i feel good....

    I now its not wise to weigh yourself everyday but for the first week I am going to, then I will change to weekly I also took a photo last night so I can compare later... we never see how we put on weight and i think loosing it is the same but a photo im hoping will show.... got a bit depressed looking at myself... anyway I have it now I just need to find my tape measure as a tip from other members sometimes you gain weight with muscle from exercising and I know if i am doing all the right things and i dont loose or put on that will make it hard for me to stay positive as i will feel like a failure doing what I can and not loosing especially as I am not snacking and I am exercising... so If I can use a measuring tape and I haven't increased in cm thats good

    so my scales said 104.5 this morning... I will have more of an idea tomorrow as the dr weighed me Sunday mid morning and I always weigh myself at the same time so I will see what tomorrow brings hopefully some good news....

    Did I mention that I am so pleased with myself that I haven't snacked on any sweets my goal for tonight is to get on the recumbent bike and ride for 5-10 minutes i hope Im good and I can stick to that...

    Im back :)

    Well I am proud as punch to be able to write that i got on the bike... it wasn't easy.....l dragged my self like a sloath to the room and jumped on thank goodness I never set a goal of 20 minutes so l did 2km in 5 min The main reason I was able to do that was because l put in on here and I was amendment that I wouldn't come on today and say umm woops didn't do that either not sure if writing in the forum helps you stick to your goals?

    Sleep wasn't so good last night I try not to look at the time as that makes it worse I just rolled over and went back to sleep when i got up my eyes were bloodshot from lack of sleep...:eek:


    Day 3 11th January

    So today after some reading last night i read it best to take the tablet 1-2 hrs after breakfast... so I got up had my capsule and waited 55 minutes... (had to catch the train) this morning I had tomato and cheese on a slice of bread.... how good was that! Delish! i really enjoyed it i noticed my mouth was dryer and also I felt like a chatter box at work... so maybe eating after the tablet is better? not sure of other peoples point of view I took some water melon and trail mix for snakes I had maybe a slice of watermelon and didn't touch the trail mix.... I did have my pretend coffee so that seems to fill me up half milk and half water for lunch l had 3 teaspoons of a dip (very delish and low carb) and a shake made with half water half almond milk
    tonight's dinner menu will be chicken (maybe satay sauce.. not sure yet) with home made fried rice... Ive also been dancing again like no one is watching.. I can assure you it wouldn't happen if someone was :eek: I have those hand weights that come with wii (game)... maybe 500g? anyway I hold them while I do my dance x aerobic x boxing exercises ;)

    My goal for tonight is to do another 5 maybe 10 minutes on the bike

    Oh and my weight this morning 103.9 down 600 g I am not getting excited as I know how quickly things can change... so again I just hope to jump on tomorrow and to see that scale go further down okay i am off to do some more dancing till tomorrow... wishing you all the best on your weightloss journey too... I haven't found my tape measure yet... grrr

    Dinner was yum last night... I was a bit peckish and sneaked in a few mouthfuls.. well to be honest I did need to taste the fried rice prior to dinner, other than that I had a few peanuts and dried fruit before bed (was a bit peckish)but to make up for that I jumped on the bike and rode 2.5 km in 5 minutes

    Day 4 12th

    I slept way better last night and woke at 5 had my tablet and then had a slice of tomato and cheese on toast again for breakfast... head is good but I have felt a little ill this morning (maybe withdraws from sugar?) anyway I had a cup of half water and almond milk with my pretend coffee... I can feel my heart races a bit more on duromine so no need to overstimulate at my age... besides trying to conceive I cut caffeine out a while ago Ive also noticed I am light headed so my iron could be down or blood pressure? Ive had a shake for lunch again, this time I added 2 large fresh strawberries I also had it later today see if that makes a difference i did notice as i drunk it i felt full thats a first.....iim running to the toilet like there is no tomorrow... I haven't drunk so much water today... so I better go get my bottle filled I wont do any dancing today as im not feeling the best and besides il be on the bike later and I have danced everyday so far one or 2 days rest isnt too bad, so I am waxing the car to ensure i get some activity in besides the bike :)

    I jumped on the scales at 3.30 and I was 104.4... mind you i didn't let it stop (digital one) i jumped off and thought I will wait and weigh myself at 5, as its my usual time... so I was very happy... okay i was over the moon to read I had lost 100g instead of gaining half a kilo woo hoo so I am 103.8 I had danced for nearly an hr yesterday so Im glad the scales changed.... 100g is better than nothing besides I know my true weight loss will be next Monday when I weigh myself... by weighing myself everyday is to keep me on track... when i did weigh in and saw i might have put on weight it reminded me not to snack as I thought maybe those extra spoonfuls of rice could have contributed to it.

    I only had a small bowl of food I guess i should google recommended sizes maybe I am eating too much at dinner... I dont think so but who knows... snacking might not be my only issue eating the wrong portion sizes, might not be helping.... I had half a chicken breast (large one and a cup or cup and half of fried rice) thats not too bad is it?

    I cant wait to loose my appetite like others have... im hoping that will happen next week if not i need to keep using my will power (thanks to duromine that is possible) if i need 40mg id rather have that in the last month besides its rewarding to walk away from chocolate or a biscuit and not snack... a sense of pride that I have

    Dinner tonight will be home made hamburger with salad... or maybe I will call it a deconstructed hamburger with no bread..... fancy pancy just made it sound delish :p....lol

    I find it a struggle to motivate myself later in the day so again I have set myself a goal of 5 minutes on the bike and get my vibration machine out... I love how it moves the fat (you know that happens when you get itchy) without any hard running ;)etc... I haven't mentioned it before but I have lower back issues... anyway I only do what I can without flaring it up... so far so good Im proud of what I have accomplished in 4 days :)

    Day 5 13th January

    I weighed in back at 103.8 so I put that 100g back on..... grrr not confident about tomorrow either you see below :( as I have a confession

    So today I woke at 5 had my D and then ate 1 1/2 wheet-bix with a little milk and half a teaspoon of honey... I must confess not as enjoyable and the cheese and tomatoo_O I nibbled on a bit of the trail mix and had my usual clayton coffee for mid morning snack and for lunch I had a shake.....Friday is usually pizza night but we had roast chook instead......I had one drumstick with 2 spoonfuls of coleslaw, one slice of bread, jalapenos and a handful of hot chips... you can see why im dubious about loosing weight when i weigh in tomorrow.... I have a bad head on and off today not as nauseous so thats a bonus.... instead of jumping around I rode 10km on the bike.... I might do more later.... I know I shouldn't have had the chips but... it wasn't chocolate so im still doing good by not touching sweets I am wondering if that is contributing to some of the side affects lack of all that sugar?.
    I was really hungry at dinner time so I am thinking best to hold off on lunch till later and maybe if im really hungry I might have a shake just to fill me up so i dont overeat at dinner... gosh when will this oh my I cant eat anymore kick in:confused:? arhhhh then again I usually have a sweet straight after dinner and I havent had that urge... thats a bonus

    So its me and my will power till it does... as I am hungry near bed time, ive been having a drink -half almond milk and half water with a low cal choc that takes away my urge to be naughty...

    I hope your all doing well on your journey... till tomorrow.... remember we will do this :)

    :oops: I better put a small goal in.... ride another 2km min before bed

    Hi Dee. Just finished reading your daily "reports". It’s so great you know your goals and are struggling with your cravings so much. Looks like some of them did go away, so you can be proud of yourself. Getting on a bike and regularly riding it + dance + aerobics surely is a fantastic idea. Cardio loads are good for your overall condition, not to mention the calories you burn. Way to go! Have you considered a possibility of adding some strength exercises?

    Keeping my fingers crossed for your progress and hope next time you think of having chips, you will see how nasty they really are.

    Hi Dee!

    I too just caught up on your journal. Chin up. Your confession didn't seem so bad - the most important thing is not to quit. Stick to the program. Talk to your doctor or pharmacist if you are really struggling.

    I'm injured - which is why I'm on the Duro so I just can't do a lot of exercise but every spare 20-25 min I have, I walk my dog around our lake (about 2.4km). It's not much and I'm hardly power walking but it is exercise. I can do this at least twice a day, sometimes 4.

    I thought I would lose more than I have - and I've felt disappointed with the 250g - 350g I'm losing on average per day but considering how inactive I am, it's a blessing really. I also suspect that this will slow down as I get used to this drug.

    It's different for everyone, I know, but I've set an alarm to eat every 2 hours. Simple rule of not more than what would fit inside a golf ball. So whether that's nuts, seeds, fruit (including cucumber and capsicum) or rice crackers, I don't care just as long as I eat and it's not unhealthy. I also eat breakfast, lunch and dinner but only about 1/4 or less of what I would eat before. So I average about 1100 calls a day total.

    Because exercise (like I used to) isn't an option until my third and fourth knee surgery (both knees) I'm trying to recondition myself foodwise because my high activity used to counteract my intake so I never had to consider what I ate.

    I feel lucky because I've never really had a sweet tooth which means I don't get the sweets cravings and my family eat healthy and we eat whole foods but I have allowed inactivity and boredom and frustration to lead me to a horrible habit of overeating at mealtimes and eating away excess energy I'd have at night.

    I literally would not think twice about baking pumpkin and feta muffins at 10pm for immediate consumption.

    If you are craving sweets, can you maybe eat some fruit or perhaps a cucumber or capsicum?

    Hi Dee,

    I like your posts and honesty I think it sounds like you're doing really well. It is early days and you're consistently losing!

    From reading your post and lots of others on here too It almost sounds as though people are scared to eat because they feel like they shouldn't be wanting to? Eating healthy food often is really good for you and will actually help your metabolism work better. For me I find it helps to be prepared so I make the right choice. During an energy boost you get from the duromine prep some healthier snacks to have on hand.

    Have you measured yourself? It might be a good idea to hide your scales and give yourself a week between weigh ins so you're not disappointed? My dr has told me to weigh myself today (day 1) get my hubby to hide the scales and then wait until the end of the month to weigh again.... I am a compulsive weight checker so this will be sooooo hard. I'm going to aim for once a week haha.

    Hi April, ;)Thank you I must say I am very proud of myself usually I will sneak a lollie or biscuit in here or there I have done none of that... only because of duromine... I have the urge but not the craving so its easy to walk away... yes I have considered weights I have a pilates machine so Im thinking of incorporating that soon im sure my 100kg (or may 98kg LOL) will make for some good strength exercises..(didn't want to overload myself and end up stopping) i have little hand weights that I use when i do the cardio... but because i look like a crazy women, I do it when my partner isnt home and because I wasn't feeling the best I rode the bike, I was able to get exercise in without making me feel worse.... I'm thinking it might be good to mix things up?

    after gaining 1/2kg im already thinking that way :eek:

    Thanks for stopping by... Sorry to read about your knees that makes things harder.. I have lower back issue so I can sort of relate, to be honest I can exercise but im limited I ride a recumbent bike as I couldn't ride my bike leaning over it would kill me so I stop and start... and if I am really honest I must admit I am just lazy .. I am a gonna do it person sometimes I start then stop.... keeping a diary here has helped me also keep to my goals and I am confident that if i do it for a month it will be become a new pattern and even a good habit that I will become used too and inspire me to change for good.... do you have a pool near by that you can use? I find it the only place I get pain relief would be great for you too maybe as you can do exercises without body weight interfering?

    gosh 20- 25 minutes with bad knees is great!!!:laughing: and your weight loss well done you have to be proud we must remember so many things can cause a variant in weight loss... exercise, amount of weight to loose etc and besides you can loose cm and not weight so your body changes for the better... look at me... I lost it then put 1/2 kilo back on LOL and im being good...I just think in 1 month i could be 8 kg lighter as long as I am making changes I will make a change even if thats in cm.. i just dont know how long it will take.. might loose 1kg this week and 3 next etc I would love instant success of loosing a massive amount of weight but in reality its my end goal that counts and thats to loose as much as I can in 2-3 months and change my bad habits in that time... I want to stop my bad habits so when duromine stops I no longer have them

    Oh no sweet tooth half your luck... then again you mentioned those muffins and my mouth watered I love any type of cheese, looks like i am just not restricted to sweets. I haven't brought any of those brioche type cakes etc as my partner is like you, no sweet tooth and I would end up eating it all ive been really good so far with sweets and snacking.... I wish I could think of a gooey choc muffin and eat a capsicum to stop that craving but i know that wouldn't work... in the past I would substitute sugary sweets for licorice and watermelon till that craving stopped... but I was still eating too much... duromine has helped me walk away from sweets (so far touch wood)....I am hoping to stop the habit...on the first day I took my usual trail mix to work and then all of a sudden i noticed I was eating the same as I was before (way too much my snacking would go on and on.. bad habit) I stopped and thought why am I on duromine if I cant change my habits I need to change my bad habits and snacking on too much is mine... so i put the lid on and stopped... now i will have about 10 all up (or maybe 2 tablespoons max) when i do have it and instead of eating a 1/4 watermelon I have a small slice so I am way more conscious of what I put in my mouth I have allowed myself 2 snacks a day... small ones that holds me over to lunch or dinner and then if i get an urge I get busy and drink a glass of water

    I need to see if you have a post otherwise please keep me updated of your journey...

    Stay positive and remember even a small change is better than no change

    Hi thank you... umm dont ask me how... I even doubled checked but i put on 1/2 kilo but im not overly worried as I believe I have lost weight over the last 6 days I could see it in the mirror today.... i guess weighing everyday keeps me on track to make sure I do the right thing

    I cant say im scared of eating Im scared of eating like I was before as it was too much I eat pretty healthy main meals its just overeating on snacks and on bad things later at night, having been on steroids for NKC i found it imperative to have healthy snacks like a boiled egg or small slice of cheese dry biscuit etc not only do you blow up but i found it increased my appetite so I would eat too much healthy snacks helped but again too much.... whats that saying too much of a good thing.... after every main meal at night I craved something sweet so now i dont have that craving and I still snack but try to control how much and rid myself of bad habits... when i read the posts i was looking for that full feeling too or geeze i forgot to eat today..... so far I dont have that but then again i dont think i overeat in my main meals so maybe that is why?

    No I haven't measured myself :(I have been looking for my measuring tape I did take a photo but should have taken one in underwear rather than a dress

    oh gosh men arent good at hiding things... you wont go looking for it will you :eek: That will be hard if your compulsive checker... i did say i was going to do daily the first week and then weekly after... but since that weekly weigh is in 2 mornings im thinking of continuing daily but if you can do weekly i will try too :) I know its best.. besides i can try for one week.. surely I can if i can walk past chocolate, biscuits and lollies I can walk past those scales and not turn them on o_O

    I look forward to supporting you on your weight loss journey too...

    Hi Everyone,


    Last night l went for another 3km ride before bed.. slept well :)



    6th day 14th


    got up at 5 bit of a struggle as its the weekend... then had to stay awake for 40 minutes :rolleyes:(that was hard) and had a slice toast with tomato and cheese for breakfast that is much better than my normal boiled egg.... had my pretend coffee drink at 9 and had 2 dim sims for lunch at 1.30 rode my bike for 20km today (go me) not in one go... I did it on and off during the day, had dinner at 7.30 very late for us spinach/feta and ricotta in a small wrap x2, snacks during the day I probably had 8 grapes... no headache and no nausea YAY!!!! If I keep busy and keep drinking water I find I don't think of food.

    Okay remember how I said I had those chips well they went straight to my hips... not really :cool: but i did put on weight 104.4 (i weighed my self twice to make sure LOL yep! :(....(don't read further as I am about to tell you my about my toilet visits) I haven't been to the toilet for a couple of days and I am a pretty regular person like clock work so I ate some phsyllium husks to regulate the bowel ....am i bothered by the weight gain I was at first then I looked at myself naked and I can tell i've lost weight in my lower belly... not my waist as my clothes are still firm around there besides I know weighing everyday isn't ideal, for me it inspired me to be good today and keep me on track (usually its big breakfast day eggs bacon, mushrooms beans cheese etc)....

    what do i love... I love that I am still not snacking if i don't loose much this week then I will next week I know I have made huge changes in my first week and will incorporate those changes into my future


    No goals for tonight as Ive ridden 20kms and I think as I am still able to walk Ive done well... my eyes are hanging out my head so im off to bed

    Well I didn't have my half milk half water, low cal drink last night... Sleep was interrupted a little, but all in all not too bad

    15th January Day 7

    No headache but felt a little drained all day...Well I am pleased to say I lost 500 gms I weighed myself and was 103.9.... as I said not really worried too much about it.... I am hoping the 2 week mark will show me a good loss....I didn't start till Monday so officially tomorrow it is a week... gosh l hope those scales dont put that 500 back on otherwise i might count today as day 7 LOL only joking I can see a difference in my body so thats great

    Today I purchased some prunes to ensure I keep regular... I will go to the Drs next week and get weighed and I will know 100% what I have lost as she took my first reading

    I woke at 4.10 had my tablet at 4.20am and waited 40 minutes before I ate a boiled egg and a slice of toast the half i didn't eat with my egg l put some peanut butter on YUM, for lunch I had 8 cristini sticks with beetroot dip... so good (black swan) I nibbled on about another 4 grapes and 6 prunes during the day. Dinner was going to be a lemon chicken stir fry but instead I had a chicken and coleslaw high fiber sandwich with jalapenos I have had half an atkins bar.

    I have been busy today but so far I have ridden 10kms and will do at least 1 more before bed oh and I found my measuring tape so I am off to measure :laughing:

    Hi Everyone :laughing:

    Last night i was a little naughty but made up for it by riding and extra km so I ended up doing 2km before bed instead of one making it 12 for the day... I ate the rest of my atkins bar and had 2 sugar free biscuits (it was so good I wanted more) I am so glad I still get to use my own will power.. so instead of having another I made my half milk/water low cal drink).. I realise I am going to have a sweet in the future and whilst duromine is helping me now I need to control it in the future I need to make sure I am aware that if i have something naughty I need to eat in moderation and do extra exercise to burn it off...

    Today is day 7 16th January
    my weight was 103.5 a total loss of 2kg for the week

    I am so pleased I didn't add any weight..... Bowell movement probaly helped with that :p Plus I don't know if that is truly a real reflection as I weighed in at 105.5 at the doctors I will see her on the 14th day mark so that will confirm how much in total I have lost, so this week going by what people say I am expecting to loose a lot less... I did say I wont weigh myself this week... that is going to be very hard:(.... as that usually helps me keep on track...... but again as long as i can see the loss that is what really counts... and I need to focus on the fact that I will be weighed in 7 days and I want to loose more weight... so I can and will do that!! ive been so slack excising and now that im doing it daily I assume my muscle might start to change my weight and the way I look. I measured my body last night so I can compare those measurements as well.

    Ok so today I woke at 5 took my duromine with a large glass of water and ran to the scales LOL 40 minutes later I ate a boiled egg (no toast :(), I ate 6 prunes during the morning for a snack and had my pretend coffee drink with half almond milk and half water around 9.30am... for lunch (since it was so good) I had 8 cristini sticks with beetroot dip:) tonight i will have a lemon stir fry that I was suppose to cook last night, i will substitute pasta for zucchini noodles... never cooked it before so I hope its good Il let you know tomorrow... I have ridden 5 kms so far and will add to that as the day goes on

    I hope your all going well on your journey... Remember we will do it!!! I know we will :cool:

    You're killing it Dee, and you're right as you exercise you will build muscle which will weigh more the more muscle you have the more fat you burn

    Hey Dee. Love reading your posts! Love that you keep it positive no matter what! I think you do have several factors that are retaining weight (muscles building + bowel troubles). Another suggestion to solve the latter would be eating kiwi (in the first half of the day. Stop eating fruit in the afternoon! ;)) ). AND another suggestion would be checking if you are drinking enough water. Poor hydration can easily provoke constipations.

    As for your current weight and strength exercises… In fact, what you might need to avoid is crazy jumping, especially if you have lower back problems (by the way, you should discuss this problem with your doctor and see if he gives you good exercises for strengthening your back. Swimming can also help). Don’t underestimate the seriousness of this symptom. You need a healthy back to exercise properly and to make yourself look like a fitness goddess SOON!

    For now, you can use strength exercises for your arms. Start with something small and you will get to bigger things. Fingers crossed for your success. Keep it up!

    Thanks for the tip.... Ive been eating prunes as it helps to regulate things... so good to know kiwi does the same (does green work the same as the gold one?) I will remember not to eat fruit in the afternoon thanks for the tip :) some days I drink way more than others but worse case scenario i probably have a 1-2 litres

    Yes i cant do crazy jumping or my back will pay for it.... nothoing worse than beingg bed ridden....Ive had the injury for 5 years so Ive learnt what I can and cant do.... like riding i cant use a normal bike but a recumbent bike is way better but I also need regular breaks so i ride get up walk a bit do a little more etc ive been using weights for my upper body when I dance... I only jump like crazy in the pool :eek: umm not into the pool while im in it o_O I do weights its only 500 grams but as you say start small.... when do you think i could increase the weights if i use then for 3-5 times a week I was thinking a month minimum maybe 6 weeks?... I also have a resistance band but i haven't used that recently... I might alternate that with the weights

    I will feel like a fitness god if i keep this up... its taking a bit of effort but I realise I must incorporate that into my life for me to succeed in loosing weight and keeping it off... besides i can see what they mean by if you don't use it you loose it... i've lost muscle and tone in my arms... ok and legs... well if i am being honest and my tummy... ii think ive covered everything :(

    Yesterday i rode another 7kms (doing a total of 12km) that lemon stir fry was very lemony gosh did it have a tang thats what you get when you add etc lemon juice otherwise it was very nice I had 3 of those sugar free biscuits it was very hard to stop and I so wanted a 4th... instead I made my normal drink and went to bed adamant that i would start eating too much.. just hard as they taste so nice

    Day 8 17th January
    I woke at 5 had my tablet with a glass of water and had a poached egg with cheese on toast for breakfast... I had lunch later and again I had 8 cristini sticks and some dip spinach and feta and beetroot dip... dinner was a piece of steak with salad and beetroot.... ive done 40 minutes of dance and 2km on the bike I will do at least another 1km before bed :) thats my goal oh just remembered I also ate 8 prunes and had 2 teaspoons of Psyllium husks... lets just say i felt wonderful after lunch:rolleyes: I haven't had too much water today so I will try and set myself a goal to do that i seem to have one bad day and one good day im feeling pretty good and had a bit of energy today considering it was a 38 deg day i did well... now my get up go has turned into time to sit and relax mode before I jump back on the bike later... so off I go till tomorrow:laughing:

    I hope you are all going well on your journey?

    I rode 2 km before bed last night..... I prefer to say I will ride 1 and do more, I didn't have my milk drink but I did have water

    Day 9 18th January

    I woke at 5 and had my tablet with a glass of water just before 6 I ate a boiled egg and also mixed some Psyllium husk in a little bit of water gosh that stuff sticks to your mouth.... for my morning snack I had a small piece of fruit cake... its full of fruit and I even came home with some so I was please I didn't eat it all... not that if i did would of mattered as it was small.. I also ate 8 prunes... bowel movement is still struggling with this change... and really the only thing ive cut is bad stuff (sweets/etc) meals have always been healthy.. maybe my dinner meals are a little smaller... anyway I will have some more Psyllium husk tonight.... I still need to buy kiwi fruit... Lunch was cristini sticks 8 and a beetroot dip i finished my other one and I must say i did not enjoy this one... dinner tonight was a curry... little rice and chipatti (flat bread) because it was a hot curry I had some lite sour cream

    Ive done 5-10 minutes of dance and so far i have ridden 10km again I hope to ride at least 1km before bed... I cant say all this excising is easy but i know its the only way forward

    No side affects from D so that'is a bonus...

    I don't think I can go a week without weighing myself its killing me... :eek:
