    Hi all,
I’m on Day 3 I’m taking 30mg and my body needs a rest already. I’m taking a day off today so I can get a good nights sleep tonight. I’ll resume tomorrow.
By the end of Day one I was like, OH NO I can’t take this medication, scared the crap out of me, anxiety and the body rush was full on, I was shaking inside, but I was brave and talked myself into Day 2 based on what others have said here, and I was surprised it was not as bad as day one. Though I was very tired, no energy & just wanted to lay on the couch, I moped around the house not doing much at all until after lunch, then I started to do a few basic house chores which exploded into 3 hrs of deeper cleaning, the rush had returned! I realised I have to make it happen. By the nights end I was like jelly & super fatigued, I phoned my chemist and asked if I could take Valium with Duromine she said that was fine, I did find it easier to relax but it didn’t give me a deep sleep, but still I did sleep off and on. I need to increase my food intake and see if that makes me feel better. So I’m off now to have a small bowl of oats with berries. :)

welcome to our beloved forum sweety,
    nice to meet you.

    Awesome Avatar by the way!

all of what you are describing is normal,
it's a good idea to take a day off here and there like you have done,
make sure you are drinking plenty of water and always try and take D. early in your day.

    Duromine is like magic,
it stays with you all day even if you think it is gone,
that is why your rush returned that day you were cleaning!

stay focused Julie D and you will lose the weight you need to.

    Hugs
    Dre

    Thanks Dre,
This first week was tough, with lack of sleep and anxiety.
    Today is Day 8.
On Day 6 I weighed in at 86.7, today I weighed myself and I am 87.7 could this be because I took a day off on Day 7. I have been drinking 2+ litres of water a day with exercise, 30 minute walk each day, I plan on starting weight training next week.

My doctor told me I wasn’t eating enough, he said to aim for 1200 cal each day, so I’ve upped the calories.

I’ve had a good sleep the last two nights, and yesterday I hardly noticed the effects of Duromine apart from dry mouth. Hopefully I won’t need to skip another tablet anymore.

It might be slower for me to lose weight because of my age 55, & Hypothyroid & menopause.

Haha throwing it all at ya

    Hi April,
The first week was tough, but yesterday was good, I hardly noticed the Duromine, & have slept quite well the last two nights, so I hope this continues

SO happy to know that you feel better and managed to get some well deserved sleep.

I think your body is now adjusting to your eating regimen. You mentioned that you weren't eating enough, an then upped the amount of calories. I think this is the reasong for the down and up with the weight.

Once your eating regimen gets into a regular pattern, and you add the strength exercises, I am sure that you will see consistent weight loss, even if a slow one (your health conditions definitelyt can affect them, but don't let this affect your deciseveness). You know what they say about the slow and steady. I have a feeling that it's exactly the approach you should take on board ;)

    and have a nice weekend!

Thanks for your support April, I was really flat yesterday thinking this isn’t working for me.
The last two days I wasn’t really feeling the Duromine working & then the increase in weight, but today I can feel it. I think you’re so right with the body adjusting, it’s been a BIG week for my body..lol
I now set my alarm for 4.30am to take D & that’s working for me, I now sleep much better at night.
I’ve decided not to weigh myself everyday, I’ll do it once a week.

I purchased a rebounder > aka mini trampoline, it’s said that 10 minutes workout on that is equivalent to a 30 minute brisk walk. I’ll also still be doing my treadmill at the gym and the resistance weight training coming up.

    Hugs
    Julie :)

    hello my love

most members on the Forum know that i am a huge believer in the whole "State of mind" thing :)
i preach it all the time around here lol
it's because i believe that you can have all the science in the world,
but it really does come down to you!
the way you think, the way you react to situations and of course how much you believe x

in my experience over the years using the power of duromine and it's magic,
i found that 'Believing in it' works better than all the exercise, right eating,
going to the gym and weighing in on scales etc that we do..

my advice for you right now sweety is to stop questioning if it is working,
and just let it take you where you want to go

    Hugs

    Hi April,
I had 5 good days with the Duromine, but then I began to feel unwell, just no feeling myself in my chest.
I stopped taking the medication, today is my second day with out it.
I don’t think I need to ween off them, I don’t think I was on them long enough.
I don’t think I’m going to continue with it for now.
I’m still losing weight, weighing my food & exercising.
In 12 days I’ve lost 4 kilos, can’t complain about that at all :)
I still have half a box left, so if I decide to go back on them I have them.

    Hugs
    Julie

Oh, I am sorry Duromine didn't work that good for you, but I am very happy that you're determined to continue your weight loss campaign, even if without it. Go you!!!

Congrats on your weight loss and don't forget that you're always welcome here, on the forum! We all love witnessing people changing their lives. Best of luck!
